Golden Turmeric Milk for Sleep

“The soul should take care of the body, just as a pilgrim on his way to Mecca takes care of his camel.” ~ Al Gazali

Golden Turmeric Milk is a very simple and effective recipe against cramps, restlessness, back- and neck pains, migraines, stiffness and sleeplessness, flu symptoms of various kinds, skin problems, rheumatic arthritis, nervous conditions and liver diseases, but also against blunt trauma injuries resulting from accidents.

These are the ingredients:
1 Table Spoon Turmeric Paste
Few Drops of High Quality Cold Pressed Oil – for example hemp oil, sesame oil or blackseed oil
Honey, Maple Sirup
Soja-, Rice-, Almond- Coconut- or Cow-Milk

Turmeric Paste:
Mix about 4-5 table spoons of tumeric into water and let it simmer for about 10 minutes while stiring it. It needs to become a smooth paste. You can keep the paste in a container in the fridge for about 10 days.

Warm up some milk, add 1 table spoon of tumeric paste, honey or maple sirups and finally a few drops of some good quality cold pressed oil.

The background of this recipe is from Ayuverdic medicine and I first discovered it on the Youtube Channel of Dr Arjan, a Sikh physiotherapist. Ayuverdic medicine with it’s insights on how to treat imbalances through nutrition has made great impressions on the Islamic Art of Healing and made many valuable contributions.

After posting this article I was contacted by a reader who offered me his own healing story with Turmeric & Milk. I want to add it here to conclude the article.

“In November last year while I was going back to home from my office at night, I had a terrible accident when my head banged on road. I had a terrible feeling as whenever I got up from bed, my head would move in circles and I would fall back on the bed. I started taking turmeric powder mixed in a warm milk glass and in a week I was stable.”
